Raising Grain Woodcraft

Raising Grain Woodcraft

Carl's woodworking passion started from a need. He wanted to frame some photos and prints from Hawaii in a Hawaiian Koa wood frame. He found a Koa source in southern PA and started making frames.

Carl chooses exotic hardwoods with tones and grains that compliment the item on display.

Soon, he began making tables and river trays as he discovered the beauty and uniqueness of live edge slabs. Each piece is one of a kind and the trays make an outstanding display for grazing hors d'oeuvres such as cheeses, charcuterie, or sushi.

None of the wood is stained.  What you  see in each piece is the natural beauty of the wood. Frames, tables and trays can all be custom made depending on your preference for wood species, resin color, table leg style etc.
